সাউথ এশিয়া ইন্স্যুরেন্স কোম্পানি লিমিটেড বাংলাদেশের নন-লাইফ বীমা কোম্পানিগুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম পথিকৃৎ। এটি ১৯৯৪ সালের কোম্পানি আইনের অধীনে ১৯৯৯ সালের ২১শে ডিসেম্বর একটি পাবলিক লিমিটেড কোম্পানি হিসেবে নিবন্ধিত হয় এবং গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকারের তৎকালীন প্রধান বীমা নিয়ন্ত্রকের কাছ থেকে ১৯৯৯ সালের ২৯শে ডিসেম্বর নিবন্ধন লাভ করে। সাউথ এশিয়া ইন্স্যুরেন্স কোম্পানি লিমিটেড ২০১২ সাল থেকে বীমা উন্নয়ন ও নিয়ন্ত্রণ কর্তৃপক্ষ (আইডিআরএ) থেকে নিবন্ধনের নবায়ন লাভ করে।
বাংলাদেশে নন-লাইফ বীমা খাতে আমাদের কোম্পানিকে একটি রোল মডেল হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠা করা।
