Mr. Md. Morshed Hasan has recently joined the company as Assistant Managing Director and BCD & Business Development at South Asia Insurance Company Limited. He is an accomplished insurance executive with over 35 years of extensive experience in business development, underwriting, branch management, anti-money laundering compliance (CAMLCO), and strategic operational control in non-life insurance company of Bangladesh. He drives strategic market expansion, oversees underwriting and branch operations, and enforces regulatory compliance frameworks across business units.

​Mr. Hasan began his distinguished insurance career in March 1989 with Central Insurance PLC as an Assistant Manager, progressively ascending through senior leadership roles including Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) over a span of two decades. Throughout his career, he has held vital key positions across leading insurance company including City Insurance PLC. His deep expertise spans policy underwriting, recovery management, risk mitigation, and corporate client portfolio growth.

​He holds a Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Bengali from Rajshahi University (via B.L. College) and a LL.B. degree under from Rajshahi University. Combining strong legal acumen with decades of hands-on industry leadership, Mr. Hasan consistently ensures regulatory alignment with the CAMLCO standards and underwriting activities sustainable.
